We're looking for a recent college graduate to become our creative Copy Intern; someone who is interested in copywriting/advertising and in joining a team to build innovative and compelling campaigns for our clients. These campaigns often combine online tactics (interactive & video ads, social media, emails, websites, etc.) with traditional elements (direct mail, inserts, and print ads). As an Intern, you will learn the various elements that are involved in creating campaigns; from brainstorms to creative concepts, to final execution. The specific internship curriculum outlines a rigorous, well-rounded experience where the intern learns how to fulfill the role of a copywriter within a multi-talented creative department. Desired Background:• Creative Writing, English, or Advertising Major/Concentration• Interest in advertising and its role in the modern world• A strong interest in writing, and how words can be used to engage a viewer's mind and emotions • Aptitude for compelling writing and strategic thinkingCurriculum Outline:1. Agency overview: Intern learns the True North process and the overall operations of the agency, including a survey of creative we have produced. 2. Brand education: Intern is given an overview of the brands he/she will be working with, including brand guidelines, brand voice and best practices.3. Support: Intern is assigned small pieces of work to support the creative team. This includes writing and tackling small changes to the actual creative, and developing work from scratch.4. Project assignments: Paired with an art director/designer, Intern is assigned creative projects that can be followed from concept to completion.
