We are a well-established children's toy store and hair salon, seeking experienced, Full-Time Retail Management candidates for our Village location. Our store offers a fun, fast-paced environment in a unique New York City neighborhood. We are seeking candidates who bring enthusiasm, self-motivation, specialty sales skills and a passion for leading a team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: *Accountability for store financial performance, cash control, inventory, safety, customer service and management of entire staff, including Assistant Manager(s), sales team and salon staff. *Leading by example to ensure the entire staff is providing superior customer service. *Analyzing store reports and surveying the competition to assist in exceeding store financial goals. *Maintaining positive working relationships with direct reports, peers, and vendors. *Prioritizing, planning and coordinating work activities for the entire staff using effective time management skills. *Ensuring the entire store is well stocked and store visual standards maintained *Establish and maintain a friendly hospitable work environment. *Motivate and lead others to perform a variety of tasks that all lead to one common objective. *Train and develop store associates using cross training techniques to aid in schedule flexibility. Requirements/Qualifications *A minimum of two years recent experience as an Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager in a retail environment *A strong understanding of retail store operations, the ability to assess and develop talent and strong written and oral communication skills, as well as, perfected sales skills *Experience with children or salon environment is a plus. *E-commerce experience a plus. *Applicants must be prepared to work 40-46 hours, 5 days per week *Selected applicants will have to pass background and reference check.
