We are looking for a few Neighborhood Advertising Coordinators to help organize the Printed Edition of the 2013 Spring/Summer Edition of the BrooklynNow Guide (see online version at brooklynnow.com) starting the 20th of February for about 4 weeks (thru mid-March). Candidates should live in or nearby the neighborhoods we cover (very important).We need Ad Coordinators who live in or adjacent to the following neigborhoods: Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, Red Hook, Park Slope, South Slope, Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bed-Stuy, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, & Bushwick.In our 13th year of publication, the BrooklynNow Guide offers extraordinary businesses in the near-city neighborhoods of Brooklyn the opportunity to advertise in our printed neighborhood guide. Candidates should be comfortable with talking in-person and on the phone to business owners / managers about our publication. There is a fair amount of neighborhood footwork since interaction with business owners is essential - as well as a lot of follow-ups via phone. Work environment is laid-back and you are able to work from your home & in the assigned neighborhoods. You must have a computer to access the database online. Your appearance should be casual professional, modern, or even trendy, since our publication is concerned with presenting modern, unique and/or trendy shops, spas, cafes, restaurants and lounges to the public.Generous compensation is a combination of paid and commission based.
